Orbit asks for clear agreement at the moment it matters. This page separates what is needed to provide the service from choices you can make later.
At account signup
You agree to the Terms and acknowledge that Orbit must use your email, profile, authentication, event, storage, security, and policy-acceptance records to create and protect your account.
You are not agreeing to receive marketing email or personalized advertising merely by creating an account.
When a guest joins
Orbit records a display name, RSVP, private device session, the event joined, and the versions of the Terms and Privacy Notice accepted. The organizer can see the name and RSVP. Other invited guests may see the display name where the guest list is enabled.
Joining is optional. A person can read the invitation before deciding. An organizer may still need an attendance answer outside Orbit.
When you share a photo, video, or message
You choose whether to contribute. Anything submitted becomes visible to the organizer and may be visible or downloadable by invited guests. Do not share content without the permission of the people shown or described.
For Orbit-hosted media, temporary originals are processed and normally deleted; retained copies follow the event’s storage and expiration rules. External Apple or Google albums follow the provider and album owner’s settings.
Optional choices
Optional advertising storage, personalized ads, and non-essential data uses require their own choice where law requires. Declining them does not prevent core event participation. Generated artwork is also optional for organizers.
Withdrawing consent
You can stop future optional processing through the available consent controls. You can delete an account from Profile & Security, ask an organizer to remove a guest entry or contribution, or contact support@letsorbit.app.
Withdrawing consent needed to provide the service may mean Orbit must close the account, remove the guest session, or stop providing the relevant feature. It does not undo processing already lawfully completed, and limited records may remain for security, legal, or accountability purposes.
